We’re back with another day’s worth of news about WWE. There will be some interesting stories about Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch, and Maxxine Dupri in today’s issue.
The WWE Women’s World Champion right now is Rhea Ripley. She is not scheduled to appear at this year’s SummerSlam special live event, though. Many fans and WWE Superstars were shocked by this news.
This year, SummerSlam will only have two matches between women. Asuka will defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair in a Triple Threat Match. In an MMA Rules match, Ronda Rousey will fight Shayna Baszler.
People say that The Eradicator is unhappy with her position for the next premium live show. So let’s get to the news roundup for today.

#5. Rhea Ripley isn’t happy with her position for SummerSlam.
Rhea Ripley is one of the best women in WWE right now. The member of Judgment Day is working hard to build up the women’s division on RAW while also making appearances on NXT.
Ripley is not scheduled to fight at this year’s SummerSlam, which is a surprise. The WWE Women’s World Champion should have had a match at The Biggest Party of the Summer to protect her title.
Recently, Ripley took to Twitter to seem to poke fun at her present job. The WWE PR account asked fans to check out how Ripley was dressed for the event. She put it back up and made a change.
The Nightmare said that was only how she looked for the media at SummerSlam “for reasons we all know of.” It looks like she was talking about the fact that there wouldn’t be a real match at the event and that she would only be there to talk to the reporters.
In the past few months, the creative team hasn’t done a great job of making competitions between women. Fans want to see more fights between women, so they have a lot of questions about the bookings.

#4. The young couple of NXT marked their first year together.
Fans of WWE know that there are a lot of pairs in the company who work together. This week, many NXT fans found out about a new couple who works there.
Nathan Frazer and Thea Hail are both in the developmental line. Their relationship was made public for the first time in September 2022, but until now, not many people knew about it.
The 25-year-old star posted a picture of Thea Hail with a “Happy Anniversary” mini-dessert on Twitter. This was the description that went with his post:

At The Great American Bash on Sunday, Hail challenged Tiffany Stratton to a Submission Match for the NXT Women’s Championship. But when she was stuck in a Boston Crab and couldn’t get out, Andre Chase gave up and threw in the towel.
#3. Jim Cornette wants LA Knight to do something that will make him look bad.
There are only so many things that superstars will do to make people happy. Jim Cornette, on the other hand, wants LA Knight to do something stupid to show how much he has lost.
Knight has shown the WWE Universe what he can do without much help from the creative team. Many people think that the company should give him more big opportunities in the future.
On the most recent episode of the Jim Cornette Drive-Thru, the experienced wrestler talked about how Knight made fun of Hit Row last week on SmackDown. He said that the crowd would cheer loudly for the 40-year-old even if he just walked out to the ring and yelled into the microphone.
“I think he should come out, bend over and fart into the microphone and let the people give him a standing ovation just to prove he can do it. No, I’m serious. If he just came out and said, ‘Let me talk to you. I want to prove a point,’ and bend over and fart into the microphone, I guarantee you the place will blow. He would fart into the microphone and the people would blow and give him a standing ovation and he would point three times ‘LA Knight, Yeah!’ and he’d leave,” said Cornette.
Fans want LA Knight to be one of the company’s top guys. But the company isn’t using his full ability at a time when fans love him.
#2: The real-life boyfriend of Maxxine Dupri is trying out for WWE
Maxxine Dupri is one of the RAW roster’s most over stars right now. She worked for Maximum Male Models as their manager and let LA Knight go on a single tour. Her partnership with Alpha Academy has made her a great addition to WWE’s group of active women.
Dupri is in a relationship with Anthony Luke at the moment. He used to play defensive line for the San Diego State Aztecs.

A new report says that Luke will try out for the company before SummerSlam 2023. Messenger was the only one to share the story.
If Anthony Luke’s test goes well, fans could see him join WWE. That would help the company add another couple to the lead cast and give them a boost.
#1: Becky Lynch’s phone doesn’t have Twitter.
Becky Lynch is one of the few WWE Superstars who uses social media to build up her battles. The former RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion often puts her opponents down online with the words she chooses.
Lynch used Twitter to stay ahead of her opponents in the lead-up to the main event of WrestleMania 35 in 2019. Fans couldn’t get enough of her funny jabs at Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair, who were her opponents.
Lynch told the “Sports Media with Richard Deitsch” show that she doesn’t have Twitter on her phone during their conversation. Instead, a member of the WWE social media team takes care of her account and writes on her behalf.
“I have a guy on the WWE Social Media Team. He has my Twitter information. I will say, say this and he will put that out. Then I’ll say, ‘What is the response?’ He’ll say, ‘Good’ or, ‘People aren’t really buying it’, so that way it’s my words, but I’m protected from it, if that makes sense. So, I don’t have Twitter on my phone. I’m able to put stuff out into the world and then see whether things are positive or negative without getting sucked into individual opinions and things that may affect my performance.”
One of the most interesting people on social media isn’t even in charge of her own account. Instead, she has a trained member of the company’s social media team do the hard work for her.
