WWE’s name changes are nothing new, but some have caused derision in recent years, with some stars seemingly dropping either their first or last name on a whim.
Many names have been shortened over the years without much reason, including Cesaro, Andrade, Ciampa, Theory, and Riddle. In addition, Gunther – once known as WALTER – and Butch – once known as Pete Dunne – have had their names changed following an NXT call up.
It appears, however, that two WWE stars will get their last names back on NXT on July 11. Backstage, Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz were approached by Angel and Humberto – but now the graphic introducing Los Lotharios gives their names again as Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo. On WWE.com, the surnames of both stars have been returned as well.
Feroz and Leon seemed uninterested in talking to Los Lotharios, which teased a tag team match between Carrillo, Garza, Dragon Lee, and Nathan Frazer.
