WWE Universe, USA – Rhea Ripley, the relentless force in WWE, has been on a dominant streak since her triumphant victory at this year’s WrestleMania, securing her Women’s World Championship. With a string of victories over formidable opponents, she now sets her sights on an even bigger challenge – a potential clash with the 6-time World Champion, Becky Lynch, at WrestleMania 40.
In an exclusive interview with Indiatoday.in, the Women’s World Champion expressed her eagerness to face Lynch on The Grandest Stage of Them All. Ripley showered praise on Lynch, acknowledging her as a future Hall of Famer, and anticipated a tremendous challenge in a match against the iconic wrestler.
Ripley stated, “I expect a huge challenge from the Man, Becky. She has definitely made a name for herself in this company. She’s accomplished so much. She’s going down in history, as one of the best. And she will 110 percent be in the Hall of Fame one day. She really has made her own legacy.”
This potential showdown would not be their first encounter in the squared circle. While they have faced each other multiple times, they’ve only had one singles match in the past.

Their previous clash dates back almost four years ago, to the November 20, 2019, edition of WWE’s developmental brand, NXT. However, this encounter didn’t yield a clear winner as it ended in disqualification. Shayna Baszler, who was Becky Lynch’s opponent at the 2019 Survivor Series, orchestrated the interference. Alongside her allies, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir, they attacked both Lynch and Ripley, resulting in a match without a definitive victor.
