Former SmackDown Women’s Champion, Raquel Rodriguez has been moved up to the main roster and is set to make her biggest match to date at the Royal Rumble on Sunday, January 28th. Vince McMahon had big things in mind for her when he signed her, and Triple H also sees great potential in her.
Yesterday, people were told that Alexa Rodriguez will challenge Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. The match was set in motion after Ronda Rousey attacked Alexa Rodriguez last Friday on SmackDown, forcing her to tap out to an armbar submission.
We haven’t heard anything about Rodriguez’s post-Royal Rumble plans at this point. We were told that Rousey is scheduled to hold onto the championship belt until Wrestlemania, which would suggest that she will retain the belt during the Royal Rumble
