Since departing from WWE to focus on his health, Ryback has remained absent from the professional wrestling scene. Despite his absence, he continues to address persistent rumors about his time under Vince McMahon’s reign, maintaining his serious commitment to his well-being.
Ryback’s journey hasn’t been devoid of challenges, including dealing with a stalker situation and clashes with figures like Booker T. Presently, he faces another rumor concerning backstage tensions during his WWE tenure.
During a recent livestream, Ryback responded to Dutch Mantell’s assertion of backstage heat between him and other WWE personnel. Ryback countered these claims by expressing his amicable relationship with Dutch Mantell and his avoidance of unnecessary drama.
I got along with Dutch great while I was with WWE. I reached out to Dutch and offered to talk with him. He, I don’t think, is. I think he’s saying things for WWE. We’ve talked about the rumors that I had backstage heat in WWE. That is a lie. If that was the truth, then that would have been coming out while I was there. I wouldn’t have been working with top people, and in a position where I was if that was the truth.

You would have heard stories that I was reprimanded or pulled off shows, but that is not true. I can’t say I always got along with everyone, but I was in the locker room. I always came early, I always stayed late. I got along with everybody that worked there, everybody.
I don’t know, could there be bleacher stand people who go there and sit there and talk about people, but I always stayed away from that.
Ryback’s professional wrestling journey isn’t concluded; he awaits medical clearance to step back into the ring. Despite his standing with colleagues in the WWE locker room, he has made it clear that he won’t return to the company. He cites past instances of misinformation as the reason, going so far as to decline a lucrative return offer.
