While streaming live, some absolutely horrible things have happened, and Adin Ross has just added to that collection after his security guard Ant seemingly broke his arm in an arm wrestle.
During a Call of Duty game two weeks ago, Twitch streamer TheDannyHammer dislocated his knee, leaving him in unbearable pain. It is just astonishing that a pastime that mainly involves sitting still for long periods of time can lead to such unfortunate outcomes. A Runescape streamer bashed his head on his keyboard and fell unconscious after bagging a super-duper rare item. And another got attacked by a bat.
Adin Ross, who has over 10 million followers on Twitch and YouTube, was streaming an arm wrestle between his security guard Ant and fellow YouTuber Zias. Ant almost won before disaster struck.
In case the audience today has sensitive stomachs, I do not recommend watching the clip. If you ignore me, that’s fine, just don’t watch it out loud. There are of course people who scrolled past all of this spiel out of hubris and will get a terrible shock at the next minute. Viewer discretion is advised:
The sound you hear is likely to be the man’s bone snapping, based on how everyone else reacts. In shock, Ross moves the table out of the way so that he can deal with his security guard and shut off the stream while swearing profusely. In other words, even though the man is extremely calm, it does not appear to be a prank. That’s because adrenaline in his body numbs the pain and allows him to think clearly before the shock sets in.
Arm’s status has not been updated by the streamer, so we hope that the injury isn’t as severe as it appears.
