You’ve heard of boxing fights being so intense that they might as well have been held in a phone booth.
Well, now a slap-fighting champion has taken part in an actual fight in an actual phone box.
Vasily Kamotsky, a renowned Siberian slap-fighter spun around and slapped his opponent in the middle of a frozen lake. The fight was organized by the Russian promotional outfit Punch Club which took advantage of the phone box’s location by transporting it to the said lake for Vasily and his opponent to fight on top of.
Kamotsky weighed 142kg for the bout, compared to his opponent who weighed just 62kg. And it wasn’t a surprise that the bigger man dominated his rival with ease. Kamotsky also had the advantage of wearing looser pants than his opponent did, who bizarrely opted to wear jeans for the match.
In the first round, Kamotsky used his size advantage to beat out the fighter with a knockout. The fight was halted twice in the opening round until Kamotsky could wear down his opponent.
The session is only a minute long and it starts off with attempting to finish the fight early in round two. However, he ends up under pressure again as the count goes over to Kamotsky. The fight action then follows a familiar pattern with Kamotsky targeting his opponent’s body before dropping him at the final five seconds left on the clock.
A second fight was held in the phone booth and the promotion pitted two fighters against each other in the front seats of a car. Legendary strongman Viktor Blud fought bench press world record holder Kirill Sarychev. The car was pushed onto the same frozen lake for this event referred to as ‘carjitsu’. After two rounds of an underwhelming ‘fight’, the bout was scored as an underwhelming draw.
