After last night’s live episode of SmackDown, the show was taped in Albany, New York.
The show featured an advertised contract signing segment involving RAW Tag Team Champions Randy Orton & Riddle and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos, ahead of their Winners Take All Title Unification match at WrestleMania Backlash.
At the end of the segment, a brawl broke out, followed by McIntyre hitting Reigns with a belly-to-belly suplex for a decisive win.
On Friday, WWE teased a potential match between Roman Reigns and McIntyre on next week’s SmackDown with Sami Zayn telling The Tribal Chief that the two had been getting “chummy” with each other lately and that he’d heard them throwing shade at The Bloodline in the process. As noted, this match will headline WWE‘s upcoming live events in United Kingdom & France. The tour will run from April 28 – to May 1st.
Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre also headlined a pair of WWE live events last weekend.
