McMahon is substituting while her father, Vince, is under investigation because of a WSJ report stating that he paid $3 million dollars to cover up an alleged affair. Additionally, the 76-year-old has been investigated in regard to some NDAs uncovered by the WWE Board.
A significant leadership change has taken place at WWE headquarters, as Stephanie McMahon was inducted into the Board of Directors and replaced Vince McMahon as the Acting CEO. However, one report says that the transition was difficult for Stephanie. “I don’t think much will change for “the boss” day to day,” Busted Open Radio co-host Brandon Thurston said.
“With Stephanie McMahon being put in charge as interim CEO of WWE, I’m not convinced they have changed their opinion on Kevin Dunn. As long as Kevin Dunn stays at the company, the public will see what WWE is getting in headlines.”
Stephanie McMahon announced on May 19 that she would take a leave of absence from WWE to focus on her family. The former boss of RAW and Smackdown has been called back into action by the WWE chairman, Vince McMahon, in order to ensure the business continues going smoothly while the investigation into her father’s alleged actions continues.
