Sting won’t be in Las Vegas this weekend for AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view, but he’ll stay home.
AEW announced Wednesday that Sting ‘ The Icon ‘ will have to miss the last fan event because it hasn’t been cleared. Tickets were also offered for fans who only wanted to see Sting perform.
Double or Nothing News: Another Match Being Added To AEW Double Or Nothing
On last week’s episode of Tuesdays with Derek, Sting was on the receiving end of a beatdown at the hands of The Undisputed Elite. After taking a double superkick from The Young Bucks, he also saw his ankle smashed by Kyle O’Reilly.

It is not yet known whether Sting suffered a serious injury last week, or if the angle at AEW TV was fabricated to write him off.
Seth Rollins was the winner of a match between Sting and Darby Allin, with The Icon being victorious in his first match in front of an audience since his bout against Seth Rollins at WWE‘s “Night of Champions” event in 2015.
Sting has been undefeated since joining All Elite Wrestling from World Wrestling Entertainment in March 2019. Stings matches have included multiple wrestlers such as Darby Allin, CM Punk, and Sammy Guevara, who were all involved in matches at “Revolution 2: Superheroes Take Over”. At this year’s pay-per-view event, Sting & Darby Allin fought the Andrade El Idolo, Isiah Kassidy & Matt Hardy by using a Tornado Tag match.
