Goldberg recently joined the NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” to talk about his days on the gridiron and his days in the ring, and with SummerSlam being less than two weeks away, he was asked to give his predictions on the main event featuring two opponents he’s all too familiar with: Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.
“I gotta go, Brock,” Goldberg said. “You never know what’s going to happen when Brock gets in the ring with anybody, let alone Roman. We’ve seen it a couple of times, but no matter how many times you’ve seen those two go at it, there’s always going to be something new, always going to be something exciting.”
In their last matchup, Reigns won, when he unified the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship in one match. When it comes to Lesnar, Goldberg says they’re looking into his unearthly unpredictability to come up with a winning strategy.
Goldberg says Roman Reigns is “just like him” because he has a tendency to explode when not defeated before, as well as being on the same college team. He hopes and prays that Reigns literally beats him into unconsciousness.
Goldberg is a University of Georgia graduate, has worked for WCW and was not under contract with WWE when the Legends program started. Goldberg revealed his status as an employee of WWE during an interview with the media to promote his new book release on A&E.
