PASADENA, TEXAS — Authorities have apprehended a suspect linked to a shooting near a Pasadena Independent School District (ISD) high school that injured two students, according to local police.

On Monday, Pasadena Police reported the arrest of 19-year-old Damian Alexander Saiz in connection with the incident. Saiz was taken into custody within the city limits without resistance and now faces two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Details regarding his bond amount or the circumstances leading to his capture remain undisclosed.

The shooting occurred on February 28, stemming from an after-school altercation in a church parking lot directly across from Pasadena Memorial High School. Two students from the school were wounded in the incident. One victim, shot in the upper torso and chest, was transported to a nearby hospital and listed in stable condition. The second student, who sustained a gunshot wound to the left forearm, was airlifted via Life Flight for medical treatment.

Pasadena Police confirmed that both injured students are enrolled at Pasadena Memorial High School. The investigation continues as authorities work to uncover further details surrounding the event.
