Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Brock Lesnar were supposed to have the biggest dream match at WWE WrestleMania XXX in 2014, but it didn’t end up happening.

Every year for WrestleMania, its largest show of the yea, WWE will look to book the biggest matches viable between its biggest stars.

That frequently includes bringing back Superstars of yesteryear, with John Cena, Goldberg, and The Undertaker all being brought in for big matches over a previous couple of years.

However, WWE’s trying to convey its former top stars back doesn’t usually bring about them appearing, as we noticed in 2014.

For WrestleMania XXX, WWE desired to have Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson go on a one-on-one with Brock Lesnar.

The year prior, at WrestleMania XXIX, The Rock tore his abdomen at some stage in his WWE Championship loss to John Cena, which means he was able to appear on Monday Night Raw the subsequent night.

If he was capable of making the show, plans saw The Rock getting attacked by Brock Lesnar, which would have set a match between the 2 at the subsequent year’s show.

The accidents that The Rock sustained additionally intended that he needed to put off filming for the Hercules movie, with the studio understandably being pretty sad about that.

This intended that because of Rocky’s busy filming schedule, connected with the ability him picking up an injury, WWE needed to scrap its plans for the huge match.

Dave Meltzer spoke about the matter at the time, explaining that the plans had been in the vicinity for Rock vs. Lesnar on the biggest match in 2014.
As can be seen, The Rock outright showed in a Q&A on New Year’s Eve in 2013 that he was supposed to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX.
He did emerge as showing at the show, just in a non-wrestling capacity, establishing up proceedings with Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
At WrestleMania XXX, in preference to going through The Rock, Brock Lesnar ended up breaking The Undertaker’s undefeated triumphing streak, which isn’t precisely the worst replacement.
