Recently, a new WWE Superstar has been looking at The Great One as a way to make a name for himself. This has led to rumors that WWE might have plans for the two of them on TV.
Grayson Waller is the young celebrity who John Cena and WWE Hall of Famer Edge recently rubbed. Then, he sent The Rock an offer to SmackDown, which also started a Twitter fight.
When Waller talked about The Great One on TV, it brought that online fight to SmackDown. According to what he said, the senior was happy to “get a rub” from the Aussie while coming back.

Ringside News asked their sources about the situation to find out if a plot with The Rock and Grayson Waller is being planned for Smackdown. They got a negative answer back, which was too bad.
A long-time member of WWE’s creative team told RSN that there are no plans for such a plot line. But The Rock “can’t get enough good press,” which could lead to plans for the future in the WWE.
Steve Carrier of RSN informed.
“We are told that there is no current plan for Grayson Waller vs. The Rock. That being said, Rock is hurting for positive publicity, so there may be something in the works,”
After Black Adam didn’t do so well at the box office, The Rock lost a lot of money during the start of the XFL. NBC also cancelled the fourth season of The Yong Rock because it wasn’t getting enough viewers.
Due to the return of the XFL, WWE couldn’t have The Rock vs. Roman Reigns as the big event of WrestleMania 39 (also known as WrestleMania Hollywood).

The Rock has said in recent talks that he would be open to the match if it worked with his schedule. This means that his dream match with WWE’s Tribal Chief will still happen at WrestleMania 40.
