Beyond the impending Great American Bash premium live event, PWInsider is also informed that plans exist for Judgment Day to continue making frequent appearances on “NXT” programming for at least the next month and probably beyond. When that event takes place on July 30, Mysterio is anticipated to defend his recently earned championship against Mustafa Ali, who on July 4 defeated Tyler Bate to become the top challenger for the North American Championship.
The Mysterio vs. Ali fight has not yet been officially announced by WWE, but Mysterio has hinted that he will face anyone on Tuesday. In a backstage interview, Mysterio declared,
“I am the new NXT North American Champion, and now that I think about it, I’m 2-0 here in NXT,” “Your boy ‘Dirty Dom’ is undefeated, and with the Judgment Day and Mami by my side, it looks like it’s gonna stay that way.”
