Former TNA/Impact Wrestling announcer Don West continues his ongoing battle with brain lymphoma.
It doesn’t appear as though the treatments for West’s tumor were effective, and it is now “twice the size it had been.” The couple has decided to go with stem cell treatment for other, smaller tumors throughout his body. Unfortunately, due to the size of West’s tumor, doctors were forced to cancel the stem cell procedure entirely after discovering it was too large.
He is hopeful this treatment will start working and is beginning the new treatment next week. West knows that he has not given up on trying to get better yet.
If you can be of help in Don West’s fight against his cancer–please consider donating to his GoFundMe campaign, which was just announced this morning by Impact Wrestling’s Scott D’Amore. They will match 100% of the donations contributed up until Friday, June 3.
Jeff West, an all-time staple on TNA/Impact commentary from 2002-to 2012, returned to the company back in 2017. He made one more appearance as a guest commentator at the 2017 “Slammiversary” pay-per-view.
At this time, The Wrestling Inc. sends our best wishes to Don West’s family.
