Hyderabad, India – Wrestling fever is reaching its peak as WWE Superstar Spectacle returns to India after a six-year hiatus on September 8. The anticipation is electrifying, as fans eagerly await a thrilling showdown featuring wrestling legends like John Cena, Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley, Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, and many more. This marks a triumphant return for WWE in India, with the last live event held in 2017.
The two-hour event will take place at the Gachibowli Indoor Athletic Stadium, promising an unforgettable experience for fans. However, please note that Superstar Spectacle won’t be televised live as it’s a house show.
Sami Zayn, the WWE superstar, added to the excitement by recreating an iconic pose from Akshay Kumar’s movie ‘Phir Hera Pheri.’ The official WWE broadcaster in India, Sony Sports Network, shared a snapshot of Zayn flawlessly striking the pose on X (formerly Twitter). The caption, “WWE Ka Mr. Khiladi,” perfectly captures the moment.
The internet exploded with reactions as fans flooded the comments section with jokes and memes in response to Sami Zayn’s spot-on rendition of Akshay Kumar’s iconic pose. It’s clear that this homage struck a chord with WWE enthusiasts.

Adding to the excitement, Indian WWE superstars, including Veer and Sanga of Indus Sher and former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal, will also grace the event in Hyderabad. This holds special significance for them, as they have deep roots in India and are thrilled to perform in front of their home crowd.
However, there’s a touch of disappointment as well. Becky Lynch, scheduled to participate in the spectacle, faced travel issues when a minor tear was discovered in her passport, preventing her from boarding her flight from the United States. Wrestling fans will undoubtedly miss her presence, but the Superstar Spectacle promises plenty of action and entertainment to make up for it.
