Tony Khan says a women’s wrestling star will debut in AEW in the future. He teased additional details regarding his new signee during the Mar. 25 Rampage.
We have noticed a renewed interest in Tony Khan’s hiring of the AEW women’s division. When a male celebrity such as Keith Lee, Swerve Strickland, or Jeff Hardy debuts, fans ask about the status of hiring women free agents such as Mia Yim, Toni Storm, Athena, or Nixon Newell.
Tony Khan is trying to alter the narrative a bit with a tease for the future. All Elite’s president, and head of creativity, John Rocha of Strong Style, signed a significant wrestler for the AEW women’s section. He’s hinting that we’ll find out more about this person during Rampage this evening. He said:
I’m not going to say who, but yes… there are women’s wrestlers I have my eye on bringing in.

Rocha Jokingly asked whether the name was a rhyme with “Schmoni Schmorm,” to which Khan laughed and said:
