Welcome to the World Championship Wrestling‘s Hall of Fame, where some of the greatest wrestlers in history have been immortalized. This prestigious hall has seen them all, from legendary icons to rising stars. With so many iconic wrestlers who have made a name for themselves in WCW, it’s hard to decide who deserves a place in its hallowed halls and who doesn’t. In today’s blog post, we’ll look closely at 5 Wrestlers Who Would Be Inducted Into WCW’s Hall Of Fame(& 5 Who Wouldn’t). So sit back, grab your popcorn and prepare for an exciting ride through wrestling history!

Ric Flair

Ric Flair is a name that’s synonymous with wrestling. Known for his flamboyant style and showmanship, he was one of the biggest stars ever to grace the ring in WCW. His signature “Wooo!” has become iconic in its own right, and his dominance over the heavyweight division is unparalleled.

Flair’s career spanned several decades, winning numerous championships and accolades. He was a 16-time World Heavyweight Champion with multiple reigns as US Champion, Tag Team Champion, and Television Champion.

But what set Ric Flair apart from other wrestlers was his charisma. He knew how to work a crowd like nobody else could. Whether it was strutting down the ramp or delivering an impassioned promo on the mic, people couldn’t help but be drawn to him.

Even today, long after he retires from active competition, fans still hold Flair in high regard for all he accomplished throughout his illustrious career. Undoubtedly, if there were ever a Hall of Fame induction for WCW legends, Ric Flair would be at the top of everyone’s list!

Sting

Sting is a name synonymous with WCW. He was one of the biggest stars in the promotion’s history and played an instrumental role in its success during the Monday Night Wars.

From his early days as part of The Blade Runners to his iconic “Crow” persona, Sting always captured fans’ imaginations. He was a master at reinventing himself and keeping things fresh.

But beyond just being famous, Sting was also an incredibly talented wrestler. He had classic matches against some of the biggest names in wrestling, including Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan.

Sting’s contributions to WCW cannot be overstated. His presence helped keep the company relevant during tough times, and he remains one of its most beloved figures today.

He would be inducted into WCW’s Hall of Fame – it would be impossible not to recognise all he did for the promotion and wrestling.

Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan is one of the most iconic wrestlers in history, known for his larger-than-life persona and signature moves. He was a significant player in both WWE and WCW, making him a top contender for induction into the WCW Hall of Fame.

Hogan’s charisma and energy were unmatched, earning him legions of fans worldwide. His feud with fellow legend Andre, the Giant at WrestleMania III drew record-breaking crowds and cemented his status as a superstar.

Despite some controversial moments in his personal life, there’s no denying that Hulk Hogan undeniably impacted wrestling. His legendary matches against Randy Savage, The Rock, and others are still discussed today.

With all these accomplishments under his belt, Hogan would be inducted into the WCW Hall of Fame if he hadn’t been already. Whether you love or hate him, there’s no denying he left an indelible mark on wrestling history.

Lex Luger

Lex Luger was a prominent wrestler during the 90s in WCW, known for his muscular physique and impressive strength. He started his career as “The Total Package” and quickly rose to fame as one of the top heels in the promotion.

Luger’s feud with Sting was one of that era’s most memorable storylines, culminating in their match at SuperBrawl II. Despite being a heel then, Luger received cheers from the crowd for his incredible performance.

Besides his in-ring abilities, Luger had a successful run as a member of The Four Horsemen stable. His tenure with this legendary group cemented his status as one of the all-time greats.

However, despite all these achievements, whether Lex Luger will be inducted into WCW’s Hall Of Fame is still being determined. Many fans argue that he lacked charisma and mic skills compared to other wrestlers on this list.

Regardless of where you stand on this debate, there is no denying that Lex Luger left an indelible mark on WCW history and remains an essential figure in professional wrestling today.

Goldberg

Regarding dominant wrestlers in WCW, Goldberg is one of the most impressive. His unprecedented winning streak and signature entrance made him an instant fan favourite. However, would he be inducted into WCW’s Hall of Fame?

On the one hand, Goldberg has a strong case for induction. He held the WCW World Heavyweight Championship multiple times and was incredibly popular with fans during his prime years. Additionally, his undefeated streak is still talked about today as one of wrestling’s most significant accomplishments.

However, some argue that Goldberg’s career was relatively short-lived compared to other Hall of Famers. He only competed in WCW for a few years before moving on to WWE and then retiring from wrestling altogether.

Regardless of opinions on his career longevity, there’s no denying that Goldberg significantly impacted WCW during his time there. Whether or not he will receive a spot in the Hall of Fame remains to be seen, but it wouldn’t come as a surprise if he did base on what he accomplished while competing under their banner.

Andre, the Giant

Andre the Giant was one of the most legendary wrestlers in history. Standing 7 feet tall and weighing over 500 pounds, he was a force reckoned with in the ring.

Andre was born André René Roussimoff in France, and his size made him stand out early. He quickly became a professional wrestler and gained fame throughout Europe before reaching North America.

In WCW, Andre had memorable matches against legends such as Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. Despite his massive size, he was known for his agility and surprising speed.

Outside of wrestling, Andre also appeared in movies such as The Princess Bride, where he played Fezzik. His larger-than-life personality made him beloved by fans around the world.

Sadly, Andre passed away in 1993 at only 46 years old due to complications related to acromegaly. However, his legacy lives on as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time who left an indelible mark on the industry.

Bret Hart

Bret Hart was one of the most technically gifted wrestlers in WCW history. His in-ring skills were second to none, and his charisma made him stand out from the rest of the roster.

During his time in WCW, Bret became known for his classic matches against some of the biggest names in wrestling, including Sting and Goldberg. He also played a crucial role in helping build up younger talent like Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero.

Some believe Bret wouldn’t be inducted into WCW’s Hall Of Fame despite his success. This is due primarily to the fact that he achieved most of his success while wrestling for WWE.

However, it’s important to remember that Bret still had a significant impact during his time with WCW. He brought legitimacy to the company’s World Heavyweight Championship and helped attract new fans with his high-quality matches.

There’s no denying that Bret Hart deserves recognition as one of the greatest wrestlers ever to step foot inside a ring – whether it be for WCW or any other promotion.

Macho Man Randy Savage

Macho Man Randy Savage was among the most charismatic and flamboyant wrestlers ever. His signature raspy voice, wild outfits, and over-the-top personality captivated fans wherever he went.

In the ring, Macho Man was a force to be reckoned with. He was agile and powerful, with many devastating moves that could take down even the most formidable opponents. His matches were always exciting to watch, as he often pulled out surprising manoeuvres that left audiences gasping in amazement.

But it wasn’t just his wrestling skills that made Macho Man so beloved by fans. It was also his larger-than-life persona outside of the ring. His infectious energy drew people in and made them want to see more.

Sadly, Macho Man passed away in 2011 at the age of 58. But his legacy lives on through his many memorable performances and contributions to wrestling history.

Undoubtedly, if WCW had a Hall of Fame, Macho Man, Randy Savage would be a shoo-in for induction. His impact on the sport is undeniable, and he will always be remembered as one of its greatest stars.

Dusty Rhodes

Dusty Rhodes was known as “The American Dream”, and rightfully so. He had a charisma that could captivate any audience, whether on the mic or in the ring. When it came to his in-ring work, he was just as impressive as he was on the microphone.

Rhodes’ career spanned multiple decades and promotions, but perhaps his greatest success came during his time in WCW. He won multiple championships and feuded with some of the biggest names in wrestling history.

But what set Dusty apart from others wasn’t just his skill inside the ring but his ability to connect with fans outside of it. His relatable persona made him one of wrestling’s most beloved figures.

Even after retirement, Dusty contributed to professional wrestling behind the scenes as a booker and trainer for up-and-coming talent. His impact is still felt today through those he mentored who have become stars.

In short, there’s no doubt that Dusty Rhodes deserves a spot in WCW’s Hall of Fame for being an exceptional wrestler and an influential figure both inside and outside the ring.

The Road Warriors

Ultimately, every wrestler has unique contributions to the industry, and it is always challenging to determine who should be inducted into a Hall of Fame. However, looking at these ten wrestlers’ careers, they impacted WCW during their time there

The Road Warriors were undoubtedly some of the most dominant tag team champions in professional wrestling history. Their iconic face paint and intense energy made them known for quickly demolishing opponents. They won multiple tag team championships throughout their career, including two reigns as WCW Tag Team Champions.

Their influence extended beyond winning titles; they inspired countless future wrestlers with their style and attitude. Their induction into WCW’s Hall of Fame would recognize their incredible accomplishments and pay tribute to their impact on generations of wrestling fans.

While all ten wrestlers listed here have left indelible marks on professional wrestling, whether or not they would be inducted into WCW’s Hall of Fame is up for debate. Nonetheless, we can all agree that these individuals deserve recognition for shaping the world of sports entertainment as we know it today.
