Timing issues plagued the first night of Wrestlemania 38. This led to The New Day’s match and the special appearance of Drew McIntyre being canceled.
The New Day’s encounter was moved to night 2. However, fans were critical of the company’s cutting out the entrance of the Scottish Warrior, and instead of showing long video packages.
This was not a call made by officials. McIntyre made the decision to withdraw from the PPV.
According to the report, the former WWE champ preferred to feel closer to the crowd.
Drew McIntyre’s spots were still being paid and the people brought in for them were all given all-access passes for Wrestlemania 38.
