WWE plans to create WrestleMania 40 in 2023, the biggest WWE event ever.
This season’s WrestleMania 38 event in Dallas, Texas, has yet to occur. WWE is already looking to create WrestleMania 39. Which would be held in Inglewood, California.
Dave Meltzer revealed that the idea for the next event held at SoFi Stadium is to have Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson vs. Roman Reigns and Ronda Rousey against. Becky Lynch as its two major showdown matches.
He also mentioned that a million things could happen between now and then. Taking into account Johnson’s schedule as well as the constant changes in WWE. However, Rousey’s contract is to remain a regular on SmackDown until next year’s Mania at the very least.
After nearly two years of absence, Rousey returned to this year’s women’s Royal Rumble match. And she came to win the title. It is anticipated that she will use this victory to take on the SmackDown Women’s champion Charlotte Flair at this year’s WrestleMania. Which is expected to be announced this Friday night.
The news broke about Rousey coming back to the ring. Many believed an opponent match with Lynch during this year’s WrestleMania could be the ideal scenario considering their history and stature.
Johnson isn’t wrestling since the 2016 WrestleMania 32 in Dallas. When Johnson beat Erick Rowan in just six seconds. Before that, he wrestled competing in WWE during three bouts in 2013, with CM Punk (twice) and John Cena.
