Mr. Kennedy has not been seen in a WWE ring since he was released by the company in 2009, but would he be interested in making a return to the company?
On the show “Insight with Chris Van Vliet,” Kurt Angle revealed that he is making his way back into wrestling after taking a break in 2019. He said, “I am really starting to get back into it,” and that he has many great students who are fueling his passion again. His upcoming bookings will give him more opportunities to work in the ring again. He said he isn’t done yet.
Promos have always been a critical part of Anderson’s career–his WWE debut involved him introducing himself via an old-school stylistic mic, which got the crowd chanting along. When Van Vliet suggested Anderson’s skills as a wrestler might serve him well for management in the WWE, Anderson replied that he “would like something like that” and “could see myself doing that.”
There is a recent precedent for this movement. MVP, one of Anderson’s colleagues in both WWE and Impact Wrestling, has been thriving in since his return to WWE as a mouthpiece for talents like Bobby Lashley, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin, among others. MVP and Anderson were a regular tag team in 2006 and 2007.
WWE Ken Anderson was released from WWE after rumours of him dropping Randy Orton on his neck. Anderson denies these claims, but on account of complaints by Orton and John Cena, he lost his job as a creative writer. He admitted that he was “bitter for a couple of years” after he left the company, which is why he has never returned to WWE, but now wishes to wrestle for them again.
Anderson has only wrestled three times since 2019, most recently in May when he teamed up with Chris Masters, another former WWE star from the mid-2000s, in a losing effort against Matt and Jeff Hardy.
