WWE Money in the Bank Date & Schedule 2022

On July 2, WWE brought the Money in the Bank live event to MGM Grand in Las Vegas. This is one of WWE‘s more prestigious events and it sets up big changes to the title picture for the months ahead.

Rather than having single, predetermined matches, Money in the Bank showcases a ladder match that grants the winner a championship title shot. In the past there have been memorable moments of winning titles with this unique stipulation and wrestlers such as John Cena and Shinsuke Nakamura won at the event.

The event will include two matches with the best of submission experts Ronda Rousey and Natalya.

What do we know about the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view?

From the Best to the Worst:

On the night of Men’s Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins defeated AJ Styles to win the coveted spot. After the two fought to a double disqualification in a Qualifying match on SmackDown, McIntyre and Sheamus battled for the last two spots. After beating The Usos to re-qualify, Omos beat Riddle in an initial qualifying match on Raw. Finally, Sami Zayn won against Shinsuke Nakamura in a qualifying match on SmackDown. There are still two spots open.

The women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match is Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Asuka who will compete to see who will be the last woman standing when they cash in their MITB contract. This match is a qualifier and only four of the five previous winners have held the contract for two or fewer days.

Bianca Belair, the Raw Women’s champion, was scheduled to fight Rhea Ripley but she was medically unable to compete. That led to a fatal five-way match at Raw and Carmella beat Bliss, Morgan, Asuka, and Lynch by earning her title shot.

Natalya won a six-pack challenge to earn her title shot. She has since vowed to be the first woman to make Rousey tap out. Ronda Rousey has been taunted for her history of promoting conspiracy theories, such as the suggestion the school shooting in Sandy Hook, Connecticut was a government false flag operation, on social media by Natalya.

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships–The Usos managed to beat RK-Bro to unify the Raw and SmackDown tag team titles. The Street Profits are now set to challenge for the unified titles in order to break up The Bloodline’s domination of WWE’s titles.

US Championship Theory is battling with Bobby Lashley. One feud they battled was the one where they would have a posedown competition on Raw and one of their usual gimmicks involved baby oil squirted in the other’s eyes at one point in time. The following week, Theory said that he had done something to Lashley that led to his attack and Lawlor then had him say in a promo during a match that if Bobby could beat three guys all within the same night, he’d get his shot at the title. Luckily for Lawlor, Lashley did just that and won this match as well.

Predictions for the WWE SmackDown Money in the Bank Ladder Match:

Kevin Owens has been trying to prove that Ezekiel is actually Elias, who looks like Kevin Owens. No amount of distractions or matches have dissuaded Kevin from this mission, but the program continues on leading to a possible match between these two title contenders on what will likely be an event loaded with title contests, a fourth ladder match, and probably one more.
