AJ Styles revealed whether he had or would consider leaving WWE for AEW.
Styles remains one of the top stars in WWE, with a year of top-billed feuds with the likes of Edge and The Miz and up-and-comers like Grayson Waller and Olmos. Styles has achieved much with WWE, restricted off with two WWE titles and a WrestleMania major event against The Undertaker.
Switching gears from the news of Myles saying he was unhappy with WWE, the Phenomenal One called into Inside The Ropes to spread the good word for AEW and said he has no plans on leaving the promotion.
“I didn’t really sign a new deal, I had a player option and I just used that option. So I had no plans really looking back, I want to be with WWE and as much as I’d like to be with my friends this is what I know. This is what I know is expected of me, I understand what they need here in WWE and I want to be a part of it.”
AJ Styles also wants WWE’s competitors to succeed
Even though he’s satisfied with where he is, The Phenomenal One believes that promotion rivals like AEW and IMPACT Wrestling should be successful. In his interview, he emphasized the importance of competition leading to better results, proving to everyone involved that they have their best chance at success while they’re trying.
