The highlights included a ‘Shoosh-Off’ with Chad Gable, a backstage moment with Edge at Evolution, and Angle sharing a toast with Street Profits. Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford initially offered the Olympic gold medalist one of their signature red cups before he spat out the drink, implying that there was alcohol in it. The segment ended with Angle pulling out three bottles of milk that he and the Profits ended toasting to.
For nearly a decade, Angle has managed to maintain sobriety following relapsing on painkillers and alcohol in the past.
When Angle appeared on “Raw Talk” to give an explanation for what happened, the Profits spit their drink at him.
“They tried to give me something that was really weird,” Angle said. “It was really hard to swallow, and I spit it out. I gave them a better drink – milk.”
Angle was then asked about “The Alpha Academy” trying to recruit him. He said that while they were trying to recruit him, the atmosphere reminded him of “the old days.”
Angle cheered when the Street Profits defeated Alpha Academy since he knew the rivalry between their two teams would continue. He was glad that they won the match.
