Triple H made his return to NXT in the aftermath of TVT Full Metal Mayhem from the perspective of Tommaso Ciampa.
Heading into NXT Stand & Deliver, Ciampa stated,
plainly that this would be his last performance in NXT and he would retire after defeating Tony D’Angelo at the show.
