Another exciting WWE News Roundup is here! Some of the big names in today’s paper are Edge and Becky Lynch, to name just two.
#4 Brandi Rhodes is done with wrestling
People have been talking about Brandi Rhodes joining her husband Cody in the WWE ring for months. But based on what she said recently, it doesn’t look like it will happen any time soon.
Brandi told Chris Van Vliet in an interview that she was no longer competing in the ring:
“You know, not as an active competitor. For sure. [You’ve retired as a wrestler?] Yeah, I mean, it was really anticlimactic. But yes, I did. I just said you know what? Okay, well, we are either gonna do this the Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins way. And they are amazing for doing it, because I can’t. It just was too hard, well, not too hard, but just something that I just didn’t think would be the best for the family.”

The 40-year-old celebrity also said:
“So, you know, we’ve gone a different route, and I’ve started business ventures on my own, and he’s doing his thing, and we’re just doing a couple of different things.”
Brandi Rhodes is best known for her work in AEW between the ropes. Under the name Eden Stiles, she mostly worked in WWE as a ring announcer.
#3 Roxanne Perez is ready to co-headline WrestleMania with another WWE star
Roxanne Perez is already excited about things that will be bigger than WWE NXT. The former queen thinks that she and Cora Jade could be the main event at WrestleMania, which she calls “The Grandest Stage of Them All.”
Perez explained:

“I would love to wrestle Cora Jade for years and years. One day, I truly feel we are going to be headlining WrestleMania. So, yeah, we are the future, and this is why everybody should be watching NXT because we are the stars of tomorrow.”
Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez have been both friends and foes on WWE TV in the past, which makes their story even more interesting. If the two women join the main cast for good at some point, we hope they get to tell that story to a bigger audience.
#2: Freddie Prinze Jr. on why Becky Lynch turned down WWE
Did you know that the idea of Becky Lynch going bald never made it to TV?

Freddie Prinze Jr. just recently talked about how Lynch felt when he heard the idea. The former WWE writer said on the Wrestling with Freddie podcast:
“When I was with Becky, they didn’t know what to do with her, and there was a writer who pitched, ‘What if we have you just shave your head and act like you’re having a breakdown?’ Becky was like, ‘No!’ It was even going to like move forward; they were like, no, I don’t think that’s a cool idea.”
Prinze Jr. kept going:
“This writer pitched, and she was like, ‘I’m not going to shave my head; what are you talking about?’ It never happened because Becky stood her ground and was like, ‘I’m not doing that,’ and they never did it.”
Shotzi has a bald head as far as the present story goes. The WWE SmackDown star changed her look to help her sister, who is going through liver cancer treatment.
Obviously, the above view has some depth to it. But it seemed like Lynch’s case was different. Freddie Prinze Jr. said this too:
“I remember me and Becky talking about how stupid of an idea that is. What would it change about you if you shaved your hair? How would that be a story anybody gets on board? But it appears to be working with Shotzi.”
#1: Grayson Waller tells what Edge told him.
Based on how he has been placed on the main roster so far, Grayson Waller could become a big deal in WWE.
The Australian wrestler’s first match on SmackDown was against Edge at Madison Square Garden. Waller lost the match in the end. Even so, it was a big deal for him.
Waller talked about the advice he got from Edge before their WWE match on a recent episode of the Out of Character podcast:
“I think the main thing is he said to enjoy it. I think a lot of times, we get caught up in what this is. Sometimes, you’re looking back on what you did rather than staying in the moment. I thought that was really strong advice. There were a few moments there during the match where I kinda just stopped and looked out.”
Even after his match with Edge, Waller’s reputation keeps going up every week. He recently helped out in the fight between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso, which is still going on. Here is more about it.
