WWE changed a lot over the past few weeks now that Vince McMahon is no longer in charge and Triple H is in charge of creative.
Before McMahon’s resignation, he and Prichard, who have been with NXT for all of its incarnations,
decided what creative WWE would do. Now Triple H decides what creative will be used on the show.
WWE made the mistake of making her a heel, but the trend was reversed when the two became a team. Katana Chance is traditionally a babyface, which they caught up to.
On Tuesday’s NXT, WWE had a fatal four-way tag team elimination match to determine the new Women’s Tag Team Champions, which was won by Chance and Carter.
Before the match, Probability and Carter did a heel promo; only to have a babyface promo moments later.
This was days after Triple H turned Becky Lynch from a heel to a babyface.
With some of the performers much further down the card being eliminated.
Meltzer spoke on Wrestling Observer Radio and suggested a shift in the planned direction.
“Lots of people who have been miscast, and on this case, let’s face it, Kacy Catanzaro,
she shouldn’t be solid as a heel. She is a babyface.
They have been on the brink of miscast her, and now they’re casting her the place she must be, identical to Becky Lynch.”
