Eddy Thorpe will take on Tyler Bate.
Eddy Thorpe responded to Tyler Bate’s Driver 98 and reverse clothesline by demonstrating that he had scouted him, but he was unable to halt the second attempts that Tyler Bate made. The Tyler Driver 98 was able to take him down.
After the match, Joe Gacy delivered a finishing blow that knocked both competitors out and allowed him to retain the NXT North American Championship.
Despite suffering his first defeat, the fact that Thorpe was able to keep up with Bate in the ring is an encouraging indication for the future of his career. The fight was intense and entertaining, despite the fact that neither guy was able to hit more than their signature offence before the round ended.
Thorpe has been well protected by NXT, so it was always going to be risky for him to experience defeat for the first time. Even though he is not prepared to overcome Bate just yet, his defeat was treated like an afterthought, which undermined the significance of the entire competition.
The plot behind the Triple Threat title match is quite clear, but if the intention is for either Bate or Gacy to unseat Lee as champion, it would be more dramatic to set up a future singles match for when that happens.
Result
Bate won the match against Thorpe through pinfall.

Notable Moments
When Bate showed up for an interview, Lee excused himself and left. The Big Strong Boi stated that the NXT North American champion was still someone he thought of as a buddy.
The champion of North America participated in the comments and felt that it was simpler to place one’s faith in Gacy as opposed to Bate due to Gacy’s transparent communication of his goals.
After Gacy had left the room, Bate and Lee began pushing each other in a competition.
Noam Dar vs. Nathan Frazer
Noam Dar was prepared to respond to Nathan Frazer’s most effective offence, but Dragon Lee successfully diverted his attention at the crucial moment. Because of this, the Englishman had the opportunity to win the match by hitting a tope suicida into a Phoenix Splash.
Even though Dar is not connecting with the fans despite the fact that he is frequently shown on TV, this match was the first one to earn actual time, and the action was quite good. These two men shared an amazing chemistry with one another. The offensive sequences were up there with the greatest that NXT has witnessed in the most recent several months.
The issues that Frazer faces are diametrically opposed to Dar’s. Despite some questionable booking in the preceding several months, he effortlessly engaged the audience. We can only hope that this victory is the beginning of a much-needed and well-deserved push.
In the long run, it’s possible that NXT made the correct decision with this result, but it doesn’t add much hype to Dar vs. Dragon, especially considering that the Heritage Cup champion lost his second match since returning to the brand.
Result
Frazer def. Dar by pinfall.
