Expect the WWE NXT brand to return to Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida soon.
There is talk of bringing NXT 2.0 to the school. However, WWE has not taped content from Full Sail Arena since October 2020.
With the production of NXT shows at Full Sail, WWE filmed the program with students from the NXT School. However, owing to a pandemic contagious beyond the campus, students were no longer present on campus to help with WWE production for NXT. This led to a change by which WWE began filming their programs at Full Sail in early 2020.
Full Sail’s partnership with the WWE has created over $500,000 in scholarship funds for Full Sail students. With this relationship, students can learn production skills, and manage a portion of merchandise and ticket sales. The partnership led to many scholarships for Full Sail students.
The split was said to be amicable, and it was reported that WWE will be back at the school once crowds will be allowed again with COVID restrictions easing up.
NXT 2.0 currently tapes at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
