Professional wrestler Trish Stratus has announced that she is making her return to the wrestling ring later this year. Fans of the sport have been waiting eagerly for her comeback, and there is no doubt that her presence will add a new level of excitement to the matches she participates in.
WWE superstar Trish Stratus made her return to the company this week and the reception was overwhelmingly positive. Stratus, who retired in 2010, is a 12-time WWE champion and one of its most popular stars. During her retirement, Stratus became a commentator for the network. This week she returned to in-ring action as part of a team match against Emma and Becky Lynch. The match was a success and Trish was lauded by fans for her performance.

Dakota Kai and IYO Sky vs Alexa Bliss and Asuka
The bell rings, Asuka sends Kai to the mat. Kai heads outside and it takes the referee 10 seconds before beginning a ten count.
Back from a break, the match is back on. Bliss sends Sky to the mat and tags Asuka back in. Asuka kicks out before Kai comes in. She brings the match to an end with rapid kicks and a knee. Gladly, Bliss manages to pin Kai, but Kai kicks out right away. Now it’s Bliss’ turn to go outside after taking some shots herself! Kanooda takes over and delivers a cannonball off the apron!

Dolph Ziggler vs Finn Balor
When it comes to in-ring action, there are few superstars on the planet like Dolph Ziggler. A five-time World Heavyweight Champion and one of the most entertaining performers in wrestling today, Ziggler always brings his “A” game to the ring. On Aug 22/2022, he’ll take on Finn Balor in a match for the WWE Universal Championship.
Ziggler hits a kick to Balor’s midsection and Balor responds by hitting a dropkick. Ziggler then gets in a few right hands to Balor’s head before Balor retaliates with his own. Ziggler sends Balor into the corner before sending him face first into the turnbuckle and going for a break.
Result: Finn Balor Wins
Kevin Owens vs Chad Gable
Owens beats Gable with a flurry of punches until Gable ducks under and delivers a clothesline. Gable follows in with a back body drop that sends Owens rolling out.
Result: Kevin Owens Wins
Bayley vs Aliyah
Bayley sends Aliyah to the mat with several kicks, followed by a suplex, then goes for a pin but Aliyah escapes. She hits an arm drag, followed by a drop kick and cross body before throwing Bayley back in the ring. She throws down right hands before locking in a Single Leg Boston Crab.
Result: Bayley Wins
The Miz and Ciampa vs AJ Styles and Bobby Lashley
Styles and Ciampa get into the ring and start the action. The bell rings and Styles delivers a drop kick. Lashley then tags in and lands a delayed vertical suplex on Ciampa before tagging in Miz. On his way out, Miz delivers a few kicks to Lashley. Lashley tags in Styles, who then delivers a splash on Miz before delivering a back breaker.
Result: N/A (Disqualification via interference
Johnny Gargano Makes His Surprise Return!
It was just last month that Johnny Gargano made his surprise return to the pro wrestling world by defeating Tommaso Ciampa at the NXT TakeOver: Chicago event. News of Gargano’s return quickly spread, with fans everywhere rejoicing in his return.
Now he is in WWE after return from a break
“He says he remembers having big, impossible dreams as a kid: becoming the Intercontinental, United States and WWE Championships. He said that it hit him that he should show his son that dreams can come true. He says you can never fail if you bet on yourself and says that’s what he’s doing. He says that he’s proud to say Johnny Wrestling is back in WWE.”
EDGE Returns and Defeat Damian Priest
After a brief break, Priest and Edge lock up, and Edge throws Priest out of the ring before flipping him off. Priest gets back in, delivers a knee to Edge, and Edge shoves him into the corner. With a shove of his own, Edge sends Priest into the ring, but he bounces back with a forearm that connects with Edge’s face. He then tosses Edge into the corner before delivering them a kick to their side. After delivering another kick to Edge, who slid outside the ring after seeing it coming at its end point, he power bombs Priest onto the ringside barricade.
It was a close match, but in the end, EDGE was triumphant over Damian Priest. The first game of the best-of-five series went back and forth until the very last seconds, with both teams trading blows and taking opportunities to take the lead. Ultimately, it was EDGE’s more consistent play that led to their victory – they never let Priest get too comfortable and were always ready to capitalize on their opponent’s mistakes.
