AEW debut of Morrissey left the WWE officials impressed, according to Andrew Zarian on the latest Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast.
“I’m not gonna say that WWE is gonna take him but I can tell you that WWEis definitely impressed by him,” Zarian said [H/T WrestlingNews] . “There’s no way around it, man. I got a message last night while he’s coming out and somebody wrote, ‘did you see this F’N guy?’”
A reporter at the end of a podcast says a number of people being contacted are inquiring about Morrissey’s contract status.
“I got a couple of messages about him from people,” Zarian stated. “People wanting to know when his contract ends.”
Morrissey’s contract with IMPACT was about to expire in November. Since then, he has reportedly been working for them on handshake deals per date. On this week’s show, Morrissey defeated Brian Myers in a Tables Match just one night after appearing live on Dynamite. This feud between Morrissey & Jordynne Grace against Matt Cardona, Chelsea Green & Myers has gone on for a while and is still continuing at the moment.
Morrissey last wrestled at Money in the Bank. He lost to Bryan Danielson.
