WWE‘s Survivor Series premium live event will be taking place at the WWE Network on November 19th. Along with that, it is not yet certain who Roman Reigns will face in the WarGames match, which will determine the number one contender.
Sources within WWE have reported that the current plan is for Roman Reigns to defend his WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble. Originally Sheamus was put into that position, but now it’s expected that Reigns will face off against Owens.
In addition, it appears WWE has plans for the first Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships to be up for grabs at this year’s WrestleMania event, with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn squaring off against The Usos. This indicates that Zayn will eventually no longer be teaming with The Bloodline.
WrestlingNews365.com reported back in the third week that they were hearing whispers of a Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn match at the Royal Rumble, but it now looks like that will take place in the Elimination Chamber during the next WWE pay-per-view event — coincidentally, Canada’s hometown for Sami!
There is no set date for Roman Reigns losing his WWE Universal Championship. However, WrestlingNews.co pointed out that there are no current plans for him to drop the title any time soon or in April at WrestleMania.
