Owens’ eye injury required stitches, according to reports
The area around Kevin Owens’ eye was reportedly busted open during Friday night’s tag team main event.
Fightful Select reports (via WrestlingInc’s Matthew Wilkinson) that Owens is “doing fine” despite the injury, however it is unclear if he will miss any time in the ring.

Although it’s difficult to pinpoint when the injury occurred, Roman Reigns pummeled KO with punches in the face during the match, saving Sami Zayn from getting pinned.
With a Stunner on Zayn, Owens and John Cena defeated the two Bloodline members despite Owens’ injury.
Since 2002, Cena has wrestled at least one WWE match every year, and this match was his first in 2022.
This also continued the rivalry between Owens and The Bloodline, as Reigns has not been able to get rid of the pesky Superstar.
As Zayn hit Owens with a low blow at Survivor Series WarGames, he seemingly turned his back on him once and for all. However, Reigns remains unconvinced that Zayn has fully moved on.
Although Zayn appeared loyal to The Bloodline during Friday’s match, there could be repercussions if he takes the fall.
There is no doubt that the issues between Owens and The Bloodline are far from resolved.
In spite of her release from WWE last month, Mandy Rose continues to enjoy great financial success.
As Sean Ross Sapp reported last month, WWE released Rose after believing her Fantime page contained content that was “outside the parameters” of her contract.
In addition to posting bikini photos and videos, Rose also posted some more explicit photos and videos.
Rose held the NXT Women’s Championship for 413 days before losing it to Roxanne Perez last month, ending the third-longest reign in title history.
WWE did not make an official announcement about Rose’s departure, but she is now listed as an alumni on the company’s website rather than as an active roster member.
Whether WWE gave Rose the option to delete her Fantime page before releasing her is unclear, but it may not have mattered.
WWE may allow Rose to return at some point, given how much support she received prior to her release, but it is hard to blame Rose for not wanting to leave Fantime for as long as it is this lucrative
According to Aldis, he is a free agent
The former two-time NWA world heavyweight champ and one-time TNA world heavyweight champion Nick Aldis announced this week that he has become a free agent.
Aldis discussed his free agency with SportsKeeda (h/t Felix Upton of Ringside News) and his desire to be “free of a contract and a certain commitment.”
Aldis wrestled for NWA from 2017 to 2022, but he requested his release in November.
The 36-year-old Brit told SportsKeeda it was “just time to move on.”
During his second reign as champion, Aldis held the title for 1,043 days, the longest reign since Dan Severn held it from 1995 to 1999 for 1,479 days.
From 2008 to 2015, Aldis wrestled in TNA/Impact Wrestling under the name Magnus. The promotion’s world title was held by him for 128 days between 2013 and 2014, but he also won a TNA tag team championship with Samoa Joe and Douglas Williams twice.
In TNA, Aldis showed tremendous potential, but it wasn’t until he went to NWA that he realized it.
Magnus’ presentation was similar to those of many NWA world champions from decades prior, notably Ric Flair, as he wore expensive suits, cut fiery promos, and preached about the importance of winning.
