The two started tagging in the WWE’s NXT territory after Athena signed with Shotzi, who already had a contract. Eventually, they were able to compete in their first Women’s Dusty Rhodes Classic, where they lost to Kai and Rodriguez in the final. The duo would win the title back from Kai and Rodriguez after 55 days but lost them to Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae of The Way.

The President of AEW, Tony Khan welcomed Ember Moon to AEW via a tweet, confirming that the former NXT Superstar was now a member of the roster. The same thing happened with Stokely Hathaway who debut at Sunday’s event as FKA Malcolm Bivens.
Since being released from the WWE last year, Athena has been wrestling for promotions such as Warrior Wrestling. Just one day before her debut for AEW, she came out on top against Janai Kai, winning the Warriors Women’s Championship.
