With only a few hours of promotion, WWE promoted both Becky Lynch and Brock Lesnar to the main-event level, giving each an opportunity to compete for championships.
Lynch returned midway through the show, confronting SmackDown women’s champion Bianca Belair after Belair’s originally scheduled opponent, Sasha Banks, couldn’t compete. Lynch challenges Belair to a title match before winning the Women’s Championship in less than 30 seconds.
After Roman Reigns closed the show with a thrilling win over John Cena, Lesnar appeared at the ring as the crowd at Allegiant Stadium erupted again. Lesnar arrived before Reigns, but they didn’t fight. Reigns walked out of the ring with his title belt and left the area.
Results
Big E vs. Baron Corbin
Big E wins with a stretch muffle submission, as Corbin repeatedly calls for the count. Corbin eventually just gives up and allows Big E to pick up the win by DDTing him.
Raw Tag Team Championship — AJ Styles & Omos (c) vs. RK-Bro
Due to his popularity, AJ Styles clashed with a tag team who have also been very over on Raw. Styles beat and eliminated Omos, holding on for the three counts so he could win the titles and dedicate them to The Phenomenal One Bobby Roode and James Ellsworth.
Alexa Bliss vs. Eva Marie
Bliss easily blocked every early attempt of offence by Eva Marie and later used a hair pull to take Bliss down, going to the corner where she grabbed Lilly before slapping the doll—and then using the doll to slap Bliss. This led Bliss to scream and unleash a flurry of offence for a near fall. Marie both ducked out of the way of Twisted Bliss moments later and scored her own two-count after the counter. In response, Bliss hit a DDT to score the win. When Marie tried to blame Doudrop for her loss, Doudrop announced that Maria was the loser of the match. However, this is for the best because it means there wasn’t much in terms of involvement from that weird doll. Alexa Bliss defeats Eva Marie via pinfall.
Sheamus (c) vs. Damian Priest
Sheamus got off to a hot start with an impressive beginning, but the challenger Priest came back and won the match. After Priest scored with the win, many people wondered if he could pursue a title in WWE because of this performance. The move that most people were talking about was how Sheamus ripped off Priest’s face mask and got right on top of him after losing his mask, before going on to mix strikes with a few bites as well.
The Usos (c) vs. The Mysterios
Jimmy took Rey Mysterio to the ropes and nearly hit a 619, but was unable to score a takedown. Instead, the Usos were able to isolate Rey and keep him from getting back into the match. Jey tried repeatedly to tell Rey’s son that it was time for him to tag, but Dominik was able to reverse a suplex into a victory roll before Rey could even reach his corner. Jimmy countered a springboard with a superkick and a Uso Splash but only scored a two-count. Johnny tried to follow in Jimmy’s footsteps by going for another top rope move but missed his splash and Rey got the frog splash instead. The Usos hit tandem superkicks and Jimmy finished off this match with one last tag. It wasn’t difficult to guess what would happen in this match because they’ve had quite similar results all Summer long, nonetheless, it was still fun enough! Rey has been forced do the vast majority of work for the team so far while Dominik doesn’t quite have things figured out yet. Regardless, it was still just fine as an entertaining little tag title contest. The Usos defeated The Mysterious thanks to pinfall after Superkicks from both signifiers at ringside before making the titles
Roman Reigns (c) vs. John Cena
Cena went for a quick early roll-up for a two-count, taunting Reigns by reminding him that he only needed a three-count. Cena then rolled up Reigns with a small package for another two-count. Tired of the antics, Reigns repeatedly threw Cena with some big strikes before Cena finally rolled him up again for another near fall. Reigns continued his methodical beatdown before throwing Cena out of the ring where he whipped Cena into the ring steps. Cena’s offence was primarily attempting to catch Reigns with roll-ups outside of an Attitude Adjustment attempt that led to Reigns hitting a DDT.
After a fairly even match, John Cena managed to score the win as he successfully hit an Attitude Adjustment on Reigns for a near fall.
