WWE’s annual SummerSlam event is less than a month away, and numerous bouts are still being finalized.
The scheduled World Heavyweight Championship fight will feature Seth Rollins and Finn Balor, according to Dave Meltzer’s report in the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Due to this, Balor recently defeated Sami Zayn and Carmelo Hayes via pinfall on WWE television. At WWE Money in the Bank, Balor lost to Rollins, but it is obvious that the business is advancing the plot between them and Damian Priest.
The planned main event for SummerSlam is Jey Uso vs. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns as of this writing. The official announcement of the match might occur during Raleigh’s “WWE SmackDown” tonight. This comes after The Bloodline trial dominated the “SmackDown” on July 7 at Madison Square Garden and garnered high ratings.
Other matches that are expected to take place on the unannounced card include those between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar, Raquel Rodriguez and WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair and WWE Women’s Champion Asuka, Drew McIntyre and Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER, Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, and Ricochet and Ricochet. They would then have played nine games overall.

The show taking place at Ford Field in Detroit on August 5 has already sold 43,712 tickets. Given that this year’s Royal Rumble exceeded $7.3 million, it might wind up being the biggest non-WrestleMania gate for WWE in North America.
