Charlotte Flair appears to be setting the stage for her return to WWE. The three posts on her Instagram Story that only came out in the past 24 hours show her wearing the SmackDown Women’s Championship around her waist and show a picture of her wearing wrestling boots.
Flair lost the “SmackDown” Women’s Championship at WrestleMania Backlash to Ronda Rousey in a brutal finish. Shortly after, Billboard reported that Flair had suffered a broken arm, but it wasn’t true because she was about to take an extended break from WWE to marry another AEW star Andrade El Idolo. In the end, she and El Idolo married in May.
Although Flair was advertised to appear on the August 25 SmackDown TV taping, she did not make an appearance. It seems that plans had changed once Vince McMahon retired and took control of creative for WWE. During she was away from WWE, Flair was partener with jewelry designer Rockford Collections.
If you’re not familiar with her, she’s the daughter of Ric Flair, grandson of Dusty Rhodes, and pioneer for future female WWE superstars. She’s a five-time Smackdown Women’s Champion and has held titles on both WWE and TNA rosters. Charlotte has been busy over the past few years, competing for both WWE and TNA.
