The main event of SummerSlam was a fight between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso. With the help of Jimmy Uso, the Tribal Chief beat his cousin, but his cousin was hurt in the process.
During that SummerSlam fight, Roman Reigns got hurt. After that news came out, there were, of course, a lot of questions all over social media. Reigns is still the biggest name in WWE, and every step of the Bloodline’s story gets a lot of attention because of him.
Sean Sapp said behind Fightful’s fence that Roman Reigns was hurt during his SummerSlam match. Still, the company isn’t saying much about what’s going on.
Tuesday morning, Wrestling Observer reported that Roman Reigns got hurt early in the match with Jey Uso at WWE Summerslam. Fightful Select has since confirmed that news. However, he is still planned for WWE Smackdown this Friday.

After SummerSlam, it was said that Reigns would not be on any WWE TV shows in the next few months. We did confirm, though, that Reigns was set to be on Smackdown this Friday, and as of right now, there are no plans for him to miss any of his scheduled appearances. Things could always be different.
WWE hasn’t officially answered our questions about Reigns, but we’ve heard the same thing as Observer about it happening early on. Even people who probably knew about the accident because they were involved in making Smackdown hadn’t heard about it until Tuesday.
“As of Tuesday afternoon, it hadn’t changed creatively,” it’s also important to say. Paul Heyman said that they are only in the bottom of the third inning of their plot, so only time will tell what comes next for Roman Reigns.
