Charlotte Flair, one of WWE’s most decorated superstars, is on the brink of a comeback after a challenging six-month hiatus due to a serious knee injury sustained in December 2023. The former SmackDown women’s champion recently shared an update on her recovery progress through a video posted on her Instagram account, shedding light on her determined journey back to the wrestling ring.
In the video, Flair can be seen undergoing a Biodex test, a critical component of her rehabilitation regimen. This specialized equipment assesses muscle strength, endurance, and the rate of force development in her injured leg compared to her non-surgical leg. Flair disclosed the results with her followers, revealing that she needed to achieve less than a 40 percent strength deficit compared to her healthy leg. Encouragingly, she surpassed expectations in some measurements, displaying less than a 20 percent deficit in quad strength.
“Today was my first biodex (isokinetic training) test! I needed to be in the 40 percent or less deficit for strength compared to my non-surgical leg… I had 20 percent or less quad strength and in some of the measurements, I was stronger in my surgical leg… I MISS YOU GUYS & can’t wait to lace my boots again,” Flair shared in her post, reflecting her eagerness to return to the WWE universe.
Her progress marks a significant stride forward in her recovery timeline, suggesting a potential return to the ring ahead of the initial nine-month prognosis set by WWE’s medical team. While Flair’s exact return date remains uncertain, her determination and positive results from the rehabilitation process indicate an accelerated comeback could be within reach.
