Navigating the complexities of marriage while juggling demanding careers in WWE isn’t easy, as Chelsea Green and her husband, former WWE Superstar Matt Cardona, can attest. Unlike some wrestling couples who work together, Green and Cardona face the additional hurdle of having completely different schedules within the intense wrestling world.
In a candid interview with “Rock 95 Radio,” Green shed light on the challenges they face and how they manage to make it work despite their hectic lifestyles. Reflecting on their journey, Green emphasized that their ability to adapt stems from years of managing separate schedules during their earlier careers.
“It’s very hard, but I also feel like just marriage is hard,” Green shared. “We have different problems than two people who work desk jobs have, but at the end of the day, if you want to make something work, you’ll always make it work. For most of our careers, we were totally separate. I was all over the place on the indies and at TNA, and he was always at WWE. So for the first four years of our relationship, that’s what we were used to.”
While their roles have reversed with Green now part of WWE, she expressed hope for Cardona’s return to the company, seeing it not only as a career milestone but also as a way to align their professional lives more closely.
“Of course, our end goal is to be in WWE together and have an amazing storyline,” Green revealed. “Do some mixed tag matches together, that would be amazing.”
