As the WWE universe braces for an epic clash at SummerSlam, the spotlight is firmly on Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and the revamped Bloodline led by the fierce Solo Sikoa. Following a brutal ambush on Rhodes during “WWE SmackDown,” Sikoa has staked his claim for the championship, setting the stage for a highly anticipated showdown on August 3. This new iteration of the Bloodline, bolstered by new members Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu, has already wreaked havoc, leaving a trail of destruction that includes Paul Heyman, Randy Orton, and Rhodes himself.
The new direction of the Bloodline has garnered mixed reactions, but former WWE writer and Hollywood actor Freddie Prinze Jr. is among those who appreciate the bold leadership of Solo Sikoa. On a recent episode of “Wrestling with Freddie,” Prinze Jr. delved into the storyline dynamics and why Sikoa’s rise feels both justified and compelling.
“I’m not saying the Solo Sikoa character is a babyface, but hear me out: Roman f***ing left,” Prinze Jr. emphasized. “He lost his title. He took his ball and went home. I don’t know if he’s making movies, or if it’s just a storyline or whatever, but from the perspective of the Solo Sikoa character, he’s 100 percent right — Roman left. The Head of the Table stepped down … For him to wear the necklace now and be acknowledged by these three badasses … they’ve established something new here, and they’ve established it super fast.”
Prinze Jr.’s endorsement of Sikoa’s leadership highlights a critical narrative shift within the Bloodline. With Roman Reigns stepping away, Sikoa’s aggressive approach and swift consolidation of power have reinvigorated the faction, giving it a fresh, dangerous edge.
SummerSlam Showdown: Can Solo Sikoa Claim the Championship?
With SummerSlam fast approaching, Prinze Jr. pondered the possible outcomes of the title match and the broader implications for the Bloodline’s future. He questioned whether it might be premature to dethrone Rhodes and speculated on how Reigns’ eventual return could impact the storyline.
“There’s a scenario where Solo Sikoa can win the world championship and be the Universal Champion, and Cody has to deal with the Bloodline all over again,” Prinze Jr. analyzed. “The only way I can see it if he loses is if Roman comes back almost right away after the loss, and is like, ‘Nah, dude. I told you. You keep your hands off him, and this is why, because you weren’t ready. You lost, you made us look weak, I’m the Tribal Chief.’ Then you can go to town with those two, and you don’t have to worry about the Universal Championship for Roman and Solo because it’ll be Bloodline vs. Bloodline. But I think there’s a world where Solo could potentially win the Universal Championship … I don’t know if it’s warranted, I’m just saying it’s possible.”
Prinze Jr.’s insights offer a tantalizing glimpse into potential future conflicts within the Bloodline. The idea of a Bloodline vs. Bloodline feud, with Reigns possibly reclaiming his dominance, adds layers of intrigue and drama that could captivate WWE fans.
The WWE universe is on the edge of its seat, eager to see how this evolving storyline unfolds. Will Solo Sikoa emerge victorious at SummerSlam, or will Cody Rhodes manage to fend off this relentless new challenge? And how will Roman Reigns’ eventual return shape the destiny of the Bloodline? These questions promise to keep fans hooked as WWE navigates this thrilling narrative arc.
