In the ongoing saga of Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s divorce, a recent ruling by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge has thrust the former couple back into the spotlight. With tensions running high and accusations flying, the stage is set for a high-stakes legal battle as both parties prepare to undergo depositions.
During a recent hearing, conducted via Zoom with Tatum present alongside his legal team, the judge decreed that both Tatum and Dewan must complete their depositions, along with those of others involved, by July 26. This development comes amidst a protracted dispute over the division of assets stemming from the couple’s marriage and subsequent separation.
Dewan, who is currently expecting her third child with fiancé Steve Kazee, asserts her entitlement to a significant portion of Tatum’s interests in the lucrative Magic Mike franchise. Central to the conflict is Dewan’s claim that Tatum has engaged in financial subterfuge, allegedly concealing income and assets related to the Magic Mike enterprise through a labyrinthine network of LLCs and partnerships.
In response, Tatum vehemently denies these allegations, portraying Dewan’s legal maneuvers as attempts to prolong the proceedings and extract an unjust “windfall.” While acknowledging Dewan’s rightful claim to a share of the Magic Mike profits, Tatum contends that subsequent projects developed under the franchise should be considered his separate property—an assertion vehemently contested by Dewan.
