As he gets ready for his next battle against social media star turned boxer Jake Paul, former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has admitted to being “scared to death”.
In an interview with Sean Hannity of Fox News Channel, Mike Tyson, also known as “Iron Mike,” acknowledged his concerns about the upcoming fight but underlined his determination to face them head-on. “Whatever I’m afraid to do, I do it,” he declared, displaying his fearless approach to obstacles.
Despite his anxiety, Tyson stated that he is confident in his training programme and that he faces his concerns head-on with commitment and tenacity. He disclosed that as the fight day approaches, his anxiety fades and is replaced by a feeling of strength derived from the fact that a fight is about to take place.
Speaking to his opponent, Tyson brushed aside worries regarding Paul’s youth, saying that his age does not limit his ability in the ring. Paul might have a speed edge, but Tyson dismissed that idea, stating he was prepared to take on any challenge.

While praising Paul for his journey from YouTube sensation to professional boxer, Tyson cautioned that he anticipates a tough opponent in the ring. He made it clear that he was ready for a physical fight and was unaffected by the possibility that his opponent may hurt him.
On July 20, Tyson and Paul will square off in the much awaited battle, which will take place at AT&T Stadium in Texas. The capacity of the arena, which can hold up to 80,000 people, accurately represents the size of the event.
After a tie in his exhibition encounter against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, Tyson is making his ring comeback with this fight. Prior to his retirement in 2005, Tyson had an impressive 50 fight record, 44 of which came via knockout. He was the previous undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
Since going professional four years ago, Paul, a relative newbie to the sport, has rapidly established himself in the boxing community. Paul poses a serious threat to Tyson given his stellar record of nine victories in his last 10 fights, including six knockouts.
Fans are excited to witness a match that promises to provide high-stakes drama and thrilling action in the ring as the countdown to the match between these two titans begins.
