Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa are anticipating the arrival of their first child, marking a significant moment for the royal family as announced by the Royal Hashemite Court today.
In a statement released by the Court, it was revealed, “The Royal Hashemite Court is delighted to share the news of the forthcoming arrival of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein’s first baby this summer.” The announcement was accompanied by warm wishes extended to Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, along with hopes for the health and happiness of the expecting couple as they prepare to welcome their newborn into the world.
Since Prince Hussein and Rajwa Al Saif’s lavish wedding in June 2023, which was witnessed by dignitaries and royalty from all over the world, including well-known individuals like the Prince and Princess of Wales and Princess Beatrice, excitement surrounding the royal couple’s parenthood journey has been growing.

The couple’s engagement took place in August 2022 at Rajwa’s family home in Saudi Arabia, formalizing their commitment to one another, even if the precise start of their love affair is still unknown.
Princess Rajwa has continued to grace public events despite the demands of her royal duties; her most recent appearance was with Prince Hussein during their first royal visit to Singapore in January.
King Abdullah II and Queen Rania are very happy about the upcoming birth of their first grandchild and are looking forward to having the newest member of their family. Though there is much conjecture over the baby’s gender, it’s important to know that, should he be a boy, he will succeed Prince Hussein as the second in line for the Jordanian throne. If she is a girl, though, she will not be in the line of succession.
As the anticipation mounts and well-wishes pour in from around the world, the Jordanian monarchy eagerly awaits the next chapter in its illustrious history with the arrival of the newest member of the royal family.
