Busy parts of southern China’s Guangdong province were hit hard early Wednesday when roads collapsed due to the force of nature. The city of Meizhou, which has been struggling with severe flooding, was in for a nightmare when a 58.7-foot road collapsed, sending 18 vehicles into the canal and 24 people died.
Nature’s wrath is unleashed
Guangdong Province has also seen heavy rainfall and flooding in recent weeks. Floods ravaged the region, submerging villages and turning roads into canals. Meizhou, in particular, has seen the worst of natural disasters, flooding villages and upending lives.
