In a recent legal move, Wendy Williams’ legal guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, has filed court documents demanding that Kevin Hunter, Williams’ ex-husband, repay $112,500 in alimony. Morrissey alleges that Hunter was “overpaid” for three months and benefited unfairly from Williams’ bank account.
According to court documents, the “Wendy Williams Show” ceased payments to Hunter in October 2021. However, he continued to receive payments until January 2022, as confirmed by Hunter himself. Morrissey contends that Hunter’s receipt of these payments after the cessation period constitutes unjust enrichment.
In addition to the repayment of the six-figure sum, Morrissey is seeking reimbursement of the accrued interest. Furthermore, she is requesting the court to impose a gag order on Hunter, preventing him from engaging with the press or other parties on these matters.

Morrissey emphasizes the potential harm to Williams, stating, “Mr. Hunter and his agents have shown their willingness to talk to the press about these issues.”
This legal development comes amid Williams’ guardianship, which was established in early February 2022 after her bank raised concerns about her behavior. Williams has expressed her opposition to the guardianship and highlighted her financial constraints in the documentary “Where Is Wendy Williams?” However, the documentary also addressed Williams’ health challenges, including dementia and aphasia, attributed by her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., to her prolonged alcohol abuse.
Subsequently, Morrissey criticized A+E Networks, the parent company of Lifetime, for allegedly “humiliating” Williams by filming her in a compromised state. In response to Morrissey’s filing, a spokesperson for A+E Networks stated that they anticipate the unsealing of their papers, suggesting a differing narrative.
