In a noteworthy revelation, Will Ospreay, the dynamic pro wrestler renowned for his breathtaking athleticism and in-ring prowess, has opened up about his ongoing journey of growth and self-improvement in All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
Following a remarkable seven-year tenure honing his craft in New Japan Pro Wrestling, Ospreay transitioned to AEW in March 2024, embarking on a new chapter in his storied career. Since joining AEW as a full-time competitor, Ospreay has enjoyed an impressive streak of success in singles competition, culminating in a show-stealing match against Bryan Danielson at the Dynasty PPV that earned rave reviews from fans and critics alike.
Despite his singles accolades, Ospreay found himself on the losing end of a tag team match on AEW Dynamite alongside Orange Cassidy, falling short against the formidable duo of Roderick Strong and Trent Beretta.
In a candid interview with Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, Ospreay reflected on his journey and revealed his belief in his improving skills as a talker in AEW, acknowledging his ongoing efforts to overcome personal challenges and refine his abilities on the microphone.
“I would not put me down as a promo guy. I still don’t, in some ways, because I’m still learning. Where my ADHD has been a constant thing, I always have problems with eye contact. I really try to avoid eye contact a lot. I’m really trying my best to work on that and harness in on that and focus in on it. The fact that I’m doing okay, I wouldn’t say I’m doing incredible. I would say that I’m doing better than what I expected. I’m am proud of myself for that just because I’ve never been a promo guy. I’ve never even tried to hide that I’m a promo guy. I feel I’m getting a lot better.”
As he gears up for his first championship opportunity in AEW, Ospreay remains steadfast in his commitment to continuous improvement and growth, embodying the relentless pursuit of excellence that defines his illustrious career.
