In a surprising development for WWE fans, it appears that contract season is far from over as another prominent WWE star, Angel Garza, is reportedly nearing the end of his deal with the company.
According to Fightful Select, Angel Garza’s contract is set to expire on August 1. Lucha Libre Online was the first to report that Garza’s deal with WWE was coming to an end in the coming months. With just a few weeks remaining until his contract expires, Fightful has learned that there have been ongoing negotiations between WWE and Garza. WWE has already offered Garza, a member of Legado Del Fantasma, a new deal, but it has yet to be signed.

Garza made a name for himself in the Mexican-American independent scene in 2019, and also joined WWE during his time in AAA and Impact Wrestling (now TNA Wrestling) He has had significant success in WWE, including WWE Cruiserweight Reigning Champion, WWE 24/ 7 Champion. Garza often met his real-life cousin Humberto Carrillo, both nephews of the late Hector Garza in 2013.
Interestingly, if Garza leaves WWE, he will be able to use his real first name Humberto in other promotions, as WWE retains the rights to the “Angel” name.
