Attacker identified:
New South Wales Police identified the attacker as 40-year-old Joel Cauchi. Assistant Police Chief Anthony Cooke said at a news conference that authorities said Cauchi was dealing with undisclosed mental health issues and that the attack was not motivated by terrorism.
